We attach great importance to paying our local guides and porters fairly. Our entire Nepalese team is insured and the load capacity of the porters is limited to 12 kg per person. Our team is well equipped with clothing, shoes, gloves and sunglasses. In Tanzania, we work with a local provider who attaches great importance to the fair payment of Tanzanian guides and porters. They are also very well equipped on the mountain. In Tanzania, the number of guides, porters and the carrying weight are regulated by law.
We hope you will place your trust in us!
In Nepal, we try to avoid domestic flights as much as possible on our treks. On our tours in Annapurna, for example, we deliberately take the bus for part of the way – it avoids the flight and you get to see so much more of the country! For the same reasons, you will not find any helicopter tours or so-called “express tours” or “Nepal in a short time”. We would like to show you the country in a very special way and, especially at high altitude, good altitude adaptation is very, very important for the success of a trekking tour. Therefore, there are no trekking tours under 14 days or, if you want to go to higher altitudes, under 21 days. The body cannot be outwitted.
Our Kilimanjaro climbs only include tours with prior acclimatization on Mount Meru. We consider this to be essential in order to be able to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro through better altitude adaptation. You won’t find express short tours here either.
We only trek in small groups to get in touch with the local population from max. 8 persons and the group is always accompanied by a German mountain guide – in addition to a local guide who speaks good English – who can respond very well to the needs of the guests. This is a special quality feature of Hiking Inspirations GbR.
We look forward to seeing you!
